CONTEST: Wooden Block Challenge

We just received an amazing collection of wooden blocks at our Midtown West location.  While they look great displayed side-by-side, we know there are so many more innovative uses for these unique pieces.  Post a comment with how you would use the blocks and the winning idea will win one block of their choice! Feel free to come into the store to get some hands on inspiration!

We're giving you a week and you can enter with as many ideas as you'd like (don't forget to add your name with each idea you post)! Post your ideas by Wednesday, November 17 and we'll announce a winner soon after!

  3. They'd make for very interesting caps on the ends of railings on a staircase.

  4. They would be awesome as brackets to hold a shelf.

  5. You could use them as corbels (with added support)for your kitchen island. You could stagger them on a wall to create an organic composition. You could use them as corner caps adding to your crown molding.
Instead of using the always anticipated "balls, fruit, seashells" to a large basket, you could make an intresting composition with these.
You can have them made into eclectic lamps.
I am certain there are more ideas, I just need a minute to think about it.

  6. You could drill a small dowled hole through them and use them as brackets for a curtain rod.
